        abstract = {Education plays a very important role for the future of individuals and society in order to develop knowledge and skills. Education requires significant costs. The more costs are needed, the more people will not be able to meet education costs due to insufficient income. This is also experienced by the community in Kenagarian Pakan Sinayan, where there is a phenomenon of children dropping out of school due to education costs. The Alumni Association of 4 Elementary Schools is an organization engaged in education and social affairs with a program to explore sources of education funding. In its implementation, this organization is considered successful because it has helped the Pakan Sinayan community in eradicating school dropouts. The main objective of this study is to determine the strategic management of exploring sources of education funding at the Alumni Association of 4 Elementary Schools.
This research is a type of case study research with qualitative methods. The data collection process uses interview, observation and documentation techniques. In analyzing the data, the researcher uses the data analysis model from Miles, Huberman and Saldana with the steps of data collection, data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. While the data validity test uses credibility, transferability, and dependability tests.
The results of this study indicate that (1) The formulation of strategies carried out by the Alumni Association of 4 Elementary Schools by first mapping the potential and analyzing the needs of the organization. The organization developed 2 main strategies, namely: empowering alumni and the community through the Friday sharing
program, the GERBU program (a thousand movements), and expanding the network (networking). (2) The implementation of the Alumni Association strategy was carried out through the following stages: first, socialization and communication to internal and external parties accompanied by collecting input (feedback) from members or the community; second, program implementation, which includes: program execution, daily monitoring, and problem solving. The evaluation carried out by the Alumni Association of 4 Elementary Schools through member and management meetings resulted in the best recommendations. (3) The implications of exploring funding sources are assistance of Rp. 5,000,000/elementary school in Pakan Sinayan, transportation costs for 24 honorary teachers, and a reduction in children dropping out of school due to the financing available in Pakan Sinayan.}
