"Yogyakarta City, which has several areas with high population density, low\r\nenvironmental quality, and minimal family income, is vulnerable to the impacts of\r\nclimate change. This phenomenon shows that climate change has a significant\r\ninfluence, especially on women. Therefore, PKBI Yogyakarta, as a partner of the\r\nFord Foundation, implemented the “Climate Justice Program” for women in\r\nYogyakarta as part of efforts to empower women in the face of climate change.\r\nThe purpose of this research is to identify the problems faced by women related to\r\nclimate change, as well as analyze the impact felt by women due to the PKBI\r\nprogram, so that the objectives of this research are in line with the formulation of\r\nthe problem that has been set.\r\nThis research uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological\r\napproach. The main focus of this research is on the understanding that emerges in\r\nthe field as well as in-depth descriptions of the direct experiences experienced by\r\nwomen related to the events that occur. Primary data was obtained through data\r\ncollection using purposive sampling technique. The author conducted in-depth\r\ninterviews with six main informants, who were selected based on certain criteria\r\nto obtain relevant information. In addition, direct observation of women's\r\nactivities was also carried out to complement the data obtained from interviews.\r\nThis approach aims to explore the experiences faced by women in the context of\r\nclimate change.\r\nThe results showed that the problems faced by women related to climate\r\nchange have a significant effect on health conditions, the environment, and\r\nreproductive health. In an effort to mitigate the impacts of climate change, PKBI\r\nhas implemented various activity programs aimed at women. These programs\r\ninclude education on climate change, waste management, and reproductive health\r\neducation for adolescent girls. From the programs that have been implemented,\r\nthere is an increase in adaptive capacity among women. This can be seen from\r\nincreased knowledge about climate change, skills in waste management, and\r\nincreased income.
