N2  - Choosing the right wedding package is a complex decision-making process influenced by
various factors. To simplify this process, a Decision Support System (DSS) was developed
using the SMART (Simple Multi-Attribute Rating Technique) method. The system evaluates
seven criteria: Wedding Organizer (WO) & Planner, Decoration, Entertainment,
Documentation, Price, Venue, and Catering.
This DSS allows users to dynamically assign weights to each criterion according to their
preferences, ensuring a personalized decision-making experience. By calculating utility values
and ranking alternatives, the system provides recommendations that align with user needs.
Developed using Laravel 11, the system also includes a history feature for reviewing previous
calculations.
System testing was conducted using both alpha and beta methods. Beta testing showed that
the system functioned as expected. The accuracy of the system was tested by comparing its
recommendations with manual calculation using 80 test data points, which resulted in verry
high level of consistency.
