N2  - Ta'zir bil mal is a form of punishment in the form of a fine imposed on students who violate established provisions. The punishment involves students paying money corresponding to their specific violation, regarded as a method to maintain order within the institution or among students. However, this approach creates a dilemma because the collected and managed funds lack clear transparency regarding their utilization and usage. Research on ta'zir bil m?l fund management at Al-Munawwir Pesantren Complex Q represents a crucial step in understanding and improving effectiveness and transparency in fund management. The importance of transparency in ta'zir funds sourced from students aligns with Islamic welfare principles. This subsequently directs attention to an important concept in Islamic law that can serve as a foundation for ta'zir fund management, namely ma?la?ah mursalah.
The research type is field research (field research) with a qualitative approach. The study employed interviews with administrators and students, observation, and documentation methods. It uses a descriptive approach, with its descriptive section aimed at detailing the observed phenomena and presenting specific data about the subject.
Research findings reveal that ta'zir bil m?l fund management does not conform to fund management transparency principles. Ideally, management should provide comprehensive and detailed information about ta'zir fund accumulation. This lack of transparency potentially generates negative perceptions among students. Moreover, ta'zir fund management practices at Al-Munawwir Pesantren Complex Q do not align with ma?la?ah mursalah implementation. The absence of transparency causes mu?orot (harm) in ta'zir bil m?l fund management, as transparency is crucial when viewed from a ma?la?ah mursalah perspective to ensure that fund management genuinely provides benefit to students.
