This research employs field research with a descriptive-analytical  approach. The study utilizes empirical and sociological perspectives to understand  how this tradition interacts with the social life of the community and contributes to  the existing social structure. Data collection methods include observation, in-depth  interviews with community leaders, religious figures, officials from the Office of  Religious Affairs (KUA), and community members directly involved in the Pisuke  tradition, as well as documentation.  The findings reveal that the Pisuke tradition holds deep significance for the Sasak  community as a symbol of respect, sincerity, and social contribution in marriage.  Pisuke is not only seen as a form of traditional dowry but also as an appreciation  for the role of the bride's family. The value of Pisuke is often adjusted based on the  bride's social status and educational background, though in some cases, its high  value can become a barrier for couples intending to marry. The study also found  that this tradition persists due to the strong influence of local customs within the  Sasak community, despite not being required by Islamic law. The community views  Pisuke as an essential element in maintaining social harmony and respect for  cultural traditions. However, challenges such as value negotiations often lead to  conflicts or obstacles in the marriage process. Overall, the Pisuke tradition reflects  how local customs and religion intertwine within the Sasak community. While it  provides positive social cohesion, there is a need for better management of this  tradition to make it more flexible and less burdensome for the parties involved.
