%T PENGELOLAAN ARSIP DINAMIS DI UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA
%X This research aims to explore the records management at UIN Sunan Kalijaga
Yogyakarta, observing the shift records management from traditional approaches
to more modern methods. This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative
approach. The techniques used to collect data are field observations, interviews
and documentation with archive managers, as well as analysis of the process of
archive creation and maintenance, both in physical and digital formats. The
results highlighted a substantial adaptation from physical to digital approaches,
although some types of archives were retained in physical format due to their
relevance. The main challenge identified lies in the maintenance of archives in
digital form, requiring special emphasis on effective preservation methods to
maintain the long term viability of the information. Infrastructure constraints,
such as the availability of humidification facilities, as well as expanding the
understanding of the risks associated with digital archives, are areas that require
further attention. This cross-departmental collaboration at the institution
demonstrates the importance of working together to maintain information
continuity, strengthens the focus on preserving records from creation to
maintenance, and provides a foundation for holistic records management. It is
hoped that this research provides insights into the transformational dynamics of
records management, highlighting the challenges and needs for records
preservation in digital formats. The implications include the importance of
infrastructure investment, a broad understanding of the risks associated with
digital archives, and cross-departmental cooperation in effectively maintaining
information continuity. It is hoped that this research will serve as a foundation for
further steps in more adaptive and planned records management, particularly in
maintaining the integrity and accessibility of information in the digital era.
