N2  - bIn an effort to explore the plant potential of natural resources, especially related to secondary metabolism, it has been conducted the research on Artocarpus elasticus, a rare species endemic in Indonesia. This study was done to isolate some chemical constituents in tree bark of this species. The coloumn chromatography was chosen as separation method, by using silica gel as stationary phase. Based on the chemical analysis and chemotaxonomy approach, the compound was identified as triterpene with esther group.
