%T GAYA BAHASA NOVEL Al-KARNAK KARYA NAJIB MAHFUZ : KAJIAN STILISTIKA
%X The study is titled "The Language Style of Najib Maḥfuẓ's Al-Karnak
Novel: a stylistic analysis". The purpose of this study is to reveal the
style of language in al-Karnak's novel and describe the aesthetic style
of language towards the meaning contained in the novel. This type of
research is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The data used is
language style. The primary source of data used is Najib Maḥfuẓ's
novel al-Karnak. Data collection techniques are carried out through
literature studies by reading, recording, and collecting data from
written sources. Data analysis is carried out in four stages, namely
careful reading, data collection, data classification, and data analysis.
The results showed that the style of Najib Maḥfuẓ's novel al-Karnak
experienced various stylistic phenomena in all aspects of linguistics as
follows: First, Mustawa al-Ṣauti (Phonology) in the form of: al-Nabr
(accent), al-Tangin (tone), Al-Tirar (repetition). Second, Mustawa al-
Ṣarfy (Morphology) deduces Ṣigah al-Fi'l (Verb Form), Ṣigah al-
Mustaqqat (Derivation Form). Third, Mustawa al-Naḥwy (Syntax)
summed up uslub al-khabar (deviation in declarative sentences), uslub
amr (deviation in command sentences), uslub al-nahy (deviation in
prohibition sentences), and uslub al-istifham (deviation in introgative
sentences). Fourth, Mustawa al-Dalaly (Semantics) deduces al-taḍad
(antonyms), and al-Musytarak al-Lafẓi (Polysemy). Fifth, Mustawa al-
Taṣwiry concludes (imagery) in the form of tasybih (simile), isti'arah
(metaphor), al-tanasuq fi al-Ḥiwar (harmony in dialogue), and al-Ribṭ
al-Fanni bain al-Muqaddimah wa al-Khatimah (artistic relation
between opening and closing). The influence of language style on
meaning includes: readers can find out the information conveyed by
the author. Can feel sadness, trauma, happy, happy, romantic,
pessimistic, and optimistic, making readers more curious, and readers
can easily understand the message conveyed by the author. While the
effect of meaning is also contained in aspects of morphology, and
sentence structure in the use of the letter iẑa.
