In order to deepen and study a fairly comprehensive discussion, this research uses historical methods; heuristic (search), criticism, interpretation, and historiography (historical writing). This research is limited by several important points regarding the socio-religious conditions in the region of Kasunanan Surakarta, the SATV socio-religious movement in the region of Kasunanan Surakarta, and the factors that influence SATV socio-religious movements in the region of Kasunanan Surakarta. In order to get answers to the limitations of the problem, this research is assisted by socio-religious approaches, movement concepts, socio-religion, and social movement theory. The findings of this research are the discovery of the SATV movement which is centered on socio-religious activities in the region of Kasunanan Surakarta, such as providing tabligh (preaching from assembly to assembly), preaching through the media, providing Islamic schools, providing library parks, and providing Islamic religious courses. This research concluded with the statement that there was a small organization born of the Muslims against the presence of the zending and missionary movements in the region of Kasunanan Surakarta that eventually a group of Muslims was able to stemp the opponent movement. This is supported by facts showing an increase in Islamic activities in the region of Kasunanan Surakarta, the strengthening of Muslim brotherhood, the increase in indigenous literacy, and efforts to nurture the spirit of bumiputra nationalism.} }
