Based on this, the objectives of this study are 1) revealing the types and functions of illocutionary speech acts in the female verse in the Qur'an; 2) outlines the speech act strategies used by speakers in the female verse of the Qur'an. This research is a library research because, the data obtained from this research is sourced from the Qur'an and translations, as well as some leading interpretations. The data of this study was taken from a review of documents in the Qur'an on ten themes in the women's verse. The research data was collected using the free listening technique (SBC) and analyzed using pragmatic methods. The results of this study found the types and functions of illocutionary speech acts, namely the presence of assertive illocutionary speech acts can function to inform, state, suggest, and complain. Assertive illocutionary speech acts function to notify more dominant than other functions. Because, Allah Almighty as the fiman in the Qur'an wants to tell His messenger. Directive illocutionary speech acts can serve to command, exhort, ask and plead, exclaim, blame, pray and demand. The commanding function in speech acts in the female verse is found to be more dominant than other directive illocutionary functions because, Allah Almighty has a purpose and purpose in expressing His word so that His messenger knows what is commanded to do and not to do. In addition, it was found that expressive illocutions serve to praise, blame, and say greetings. A commissive illocutionary that can serve to promise, vow, swear, and offer. Finally, declarative illocutions can serve to name, surrender, impose punishment, and elevate position. In this study also found speech act strategies used by speakers in female verse, namely explicit, implicit, direct, indirect, express, and implied strategies. In this study, no literal and nonliteral strategies were found.
