%T THE EFFECT OF CASHLESS PAYMENTS ON ECONOMIC GROWTH IN JAVA ISLAND PERIOD 2020-2024
%X This study aims to analyze the effect of cashless payment on economic growth in Java during the period 2020-2024 using panel data regression analysis method and fixed effect model. The dependent variable in this study is economic growth measured by the GRDP (Gross Regional Domestic Product) value indicator, while the independent variables include the use of credit cards, debit cards, e-money, and QRIS. The results show that credit cards, debit cards, and QRIS have a positive and significant effect on economic growth, while e-money has no significant effect. The use of credit and debit cards increases consumption and money circulation, while QRIS promotes financial inclusion and local economic activity. On the other hand, the effectiveness of e-money is still limited by low penetration and suboptimal infrastructure. This research recommends further The study recommends further research on the efficiency of digital payment systems, consumer payment behavior, and comparative studies in developing countries
