This research is based on the theory of leadership, work motivation and work environment in supporting lecturer performance. This thesis research was conducted at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Keguruan State Islamic University Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, with a sample of 52 lecturers from a population of 127 lecturers. Sample withdrawal is based on Probability Sampling rules with random sampling techniques. The independent variable in this study is leadership (X), the dependent variable is lecturer performance (Y) and work motivation (Z1) and work environment (Z2) as control variables. The data collection instrument used a questionnaire while the analysis method in this study used descriptive statistics and inferential statistics with the help of the SPSS (Statistical Product and Social Sciences) application. The results showed that the bivariate correlation of leadership and lecturer performance was linearly related with a correlation coefficient of 0.831 with a significance of 0.000 ({\ensuremath{\alpha}} = 0.05). The results of the comparison between the bivariate correlation coefficient and the partial correlation coefficient of leadership and lecturer performance controlled by work motivation variables are significant with a significance figure of 0.021 ({\ensuremath{\alpha}} = 0.05) which shows the result that ryx{\ensuremath{>}}ryxz1, namely 0.831{\ensuremath{>}} 0.323. This means that leadership cannot directly impact on lecturer performance without lecturers having high motivation. Similarly, when the partial correlation test of leadership with lecturer performance is controlled by significant work environment variables with a significance number of 0.000 ({\ensuremath{\alpha}} = 0.05), the results show that ryx{\ensuremath{>}}ryxz2 is 0.831 {\ensuremath{>}} 0.555. This means that leadership cannot be directly related to lecturer performance without lecturers having a comfortable work environment, so Ha1 is accepted and H01 is rejected. The regression results also prove that Ha2 and Ha3 are accepted and H02 and H03 are rejected with a regression coefficient value of work motivation of 1.309, where the contribution is able to improve lecturer performance by 23\% and the value of the work environment regression coefficient of 0.831 which is able to improve lecturer performance by 128\%. The conclusion shows that there is an influence between leadership on lecturer performance controlled by work motivation and work environment variables.} }
