ALI MAKSUM KRAPYAK YOGYAKARTA %X This research is motivated by the exploration of how the substantive concept of Integration-Interconnection based on the thoughts of KH. Ali Maksum can reform Islamic education at Pondok Pesantren Krapyak. Therefore, this study aims to identify several key aspects, including: 1) Identifying how the concept of Integration-Interconnection in the reform of Islamic education is viewed from the perspective of KH. Ali Maksum, 2) Identifying the reasons, motives, or background behind KH. Ali Maksum’s proposal for the reform of Islamic education, 3) Analyzing how the concept of Integration-Interconnection can contribute to the reform of Islamic education at Pondok Pesantren Krapyak Yogyakarta. This research employs a library research methodology, utilizing a historicalphilosophical approach. The primary data sources include the works of KH. Ali Maksum such as the kitab Hujjah Ahl As-Sunnah Wa Al-Jama’ah, books (Ajakan Suci), (An Authorized Biography: KH Ali Ma’shum: Ulama, Pesantren, dan NU), and (Catatan Seorang Santri). Meanwhile, the secondary data consists of interviews with the family and students of KH. Ali Maksum during his lifetime. The validity of the data is tested using the Triangulation technique, and the data analysis is conducted through content analysis. The results of this study indicate that: 1) KH. Ali Maksum rejected the dichotomy between disciplines and sought to create a curriculum that not only focused on religious sciences but also incorporated general and social sciences. Through this approach, he aimed to produce graduates who think critically, contextually, and are able to make tangible contributions in various aspects of life. 2) The educational reform carried out by KH. Ali Maksum at Krapyak Yogyakarta was driven by the need to modernize the pesantren education system and align it with contemporary demands. The study also reveals that KH. Ali Maksum successfully created synergy between tradition and modernity, establishing Pesantren Krapyak as an Islamic educational model that is deeply rooted in religious values while also being responsive to global dynamics. 3) His contributions not only impacted the educational sphere but also extended to social-religious and socio-political realms, where he played a role in steering Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) back to the Khittah 1926 and maintaining the integrity of the organization. %K Konsep Integrasi-Interkoneksi, Reformasi Pendidikan Islam, KH.
