Despite the extensive calligraphy education provided at Lemka, there is a lack of research exploring the teaching strategies, philosophical values, and moral principles applied in the learning process and their influence on shaping the students' character. This study delves into the integration of philosophical values in every stage of calligraphy learning and how moral principles are implemented to foster the noble character of students. Modern calligraphers often focus more on the visual and technical aspects of calligraphy, neglecting its embedded philosophical values. This research aims to highlight the importance of teaching strategies, philosophical values, and moral principles as integral parts of calligraphy education. To achieve these objectives, this study employs a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation to gather in-depth information on the calligraphy teaching strategies at Lemka, addressing both technical aspects and the philosophical and moral values embedded in the learning process. The findings reveal that Lemka Islamic Boarding School successfully integrates calligraphy teaching strategies with philosophical and moral values, as outlined in its curriculum, which encompasses spiritual, moral, and aesthetic dimensions. Calligraphy education at this institution not only hones artistic skills but also shapes students’ character through philosophical values such as aesthetics, perfection, orderliness, and harmony, reflecting a balanced relationship between form, meaning, and spirituality. The moral principles instilled include patience, meticulousness, neatness, discipline, consistency, humility, tranquility, hard work, and dedication, all of which contribute to the holistic development of students’ character. This research is expected to serve as a reference for other educational institutions in integrating philosophical and moral aspects into art education, producing individuals who are not only technically skilled but also deeply aware of the noble values inherent in the art of calligraphy. %Z Dr. Sembodo Ardi Widodo, M.Ag.
