This ability refers to the way children think in solving problems, thinking logically and thinking symbolically. Loose part-based bussy jar media is designed with a variety of interesting activities to increase children's enthusiasm in learning activities. The study aims to determine: 1) Development of loose part-based bussy jar media to improve cognitive abilities of children aged 4-5 years, 2) the feasibility of loose part-based bussy jar media to improve cognitive abilities of children aged 4-5 years, 3) Effectiveness of loose part-based bussy jar to improve cognitive abilities of children aged 4-5 years. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) research with the ADDIE development model. The location of the research is at KB Paud Aisyiyah 02 Tambakromo Pati with a research sample of 18 children in group A. The data collection technique used is a lift with measurements using a Likert scale. The product validation test used is a feasibility test and an effectiveness test using the P search formula (percentage of validators). The effectiveness test was obtained using a paired sample t test with the One-Group Pretest-Postest Design model. The results of the study showed: 1) loose part-based bussy jar media was developed through the ADDIE stages. 2) The score of the results from media experts was 95%, material experts were 88% and teacher responses were 86%, all three media feasibility assessment scores were in the category of "very feasible. 3) Loose part-based bussy jar media is effective to use with the results of the t-test data with a value of 0.00 which means less than (>) 0.05, meaning that there is a significant difference and increase before and after receiving treatment using loose part-based bussy jar media. The implications of the study relate to the results of the development of loose part-based bussy jar media which can be applied as an interesting, effective and educational media to improve problem-solving skills, logical thinking and symbolic thinking of children aged 4-5 years.
