To maintain professionalism, teachers take part in the Continuous Professional Development (PKB) program, although its implementation is often constrained by time, funds and insight. In response to this, the Yogyakarta Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion implemented the Mandiri PKB policy, which was researched at the MGMP IPA MTs Kab. Bantul as the most active professional organization. This research aims to analyze how the Mandiri PKB policy is determined by the DIY Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion, its implementation in the most active MGMP, and its impacts/implications. The type of research carried out was a descriptive case study approach. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation. Validation and validity of data using triangulation of sources and methods. Data analysis uses Miles and Huberman's theory, namely by condensing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. The research results show: First, the Mandiri PKB policy was established to overcome PKB Block Grant government that does not yet cover all teachers. Mandiri PKB is implemented through the KKM community base (MGMP, MGBK, KKG, and Pokjawas) by setting aside a portion of the personal professional allowance funds for teachers, heads and madrasah supervisors. Second, the implementation of the Mandiri PKB policy at the MGMP IPA MTs Kab. Bantul is carried out through planning, namely by formulating the Mandiri PKB program for the next 1 year. Organizing is done by determining the person responsible for the activity, allocation of funds, time and place. Implementation is carried out through the PKB program Block Grant combined with other programs required by MGMP. Reporting is done by uploading the report in the Si Panjat Padi application, and issuing a certificate of proof of self-development.
