This study will test the potential of antifungal compounds derived from the cell-free filtrate (CFF) of ScV9 frog skin bacteria as a biocontrol agent in inhibiting the growth of Colletotrichum sp. in vitro and in vivo. The CFF of ScV9 bacteria with 2%, 4% and 6% concentration were tested in vitro through several tests, namely mycelial inhibition test and conidia germination test. CFF ScV9 with 6% concentration showed the highest antifungal activity in inhibiting mycelial growth and conidia germination of 47 mg and 28.4%, respectively. Meanwhile, in vivo tests on chili fruits and seeds, 6% concentration of CFF ScV9 significantly reduced disease incidence and severity by 16.6% and 8.5% compared to commercial fungicides. Therefore, CFF ScV9 can be developed as a promising biocontrol agent.
