This study evaluated the biostimulant and bioprotectant potential of endophytic bacteria from local Musa balbisiana Colla (Kluthuk banana) roots, both in vitro and in vivo. Seven endophytic bacterial isolates were successfully isolated from M. balbisiana roots, and one, PK4, was selected as a superior isolate after in vitro testing. PK4 demonstrated biostimulant activity by producing 0.9248 ppm IAA hormone and reducing Fusarium wilt disease severity caused by Fusarium sp. BD2 by 13.7%. PK4 bacteria were successfully identified as members of the genus Caryophanon. Thus, PK4 isolate exhibits high biostimulant and bioprotectant potential as PGPB.
