abstract: Music concerts are a medium used to provide entertainment to the public.
Music concerts have been widely held in various cities with various organizers, one
of which is the CRSL Concert in Yogyakarta. Ticket sales to the public are regulated
by a tiered pricing system from Rp. 139,000, Rp. 159,000, Rp. 179,000 to Rp.
200,000 per 2024. The difference in price with the same show allows for a sense of
injustice felt by consumers due to the pricing. From this difference, the question
arises why music concerts with the same facilities but different sales times have
different prices, where the expectation is that the price of concert tickets should still
have the same price.
The type of this research is field research using qualitative analysis that is
descriptive-analytical, with a normative-philosophical approach. Data collection
techniques using sampling techniques, interviews, observations, questionnaires and
documentation. Meanwhile, the analysis of this study uses an inductive reasoning
method by drawing conclusions from specific facts, concrete events that are taken
into a general idea, in this case the pricing system at the CRSL Concert which is
then analyzed using the tas'ir theory and the theory of justice from the thoughts of
Imam al-Gazali so as to produce conclusions from the specific data available.
The results of this study indicate that the music concert ticket pricing system
at the CRSL Concert uses a price tier system from the cheapest price to the most
expensive price, namely, early bird, presale 1, presale 2, and On the Spot (OTS).
The pricing of music concert tickets at the CRSL Concert does not conflict with the
principles of pricing (at-tas'ir) in the perspective of Ibn Taimiyah and also experts
from the Ḥanafiyyah, Syafi'iyyah, Ḥanabillah, and Malikiyyah circles because this
pricing creates a balance between the value offered by the organizer and the
purchasing power of the community. Apart from that, pricing at the CRSL Concert
also reflects the principle of justice initiated by Imam al-Gazali by setting prices in
accordance with market conditions and ensuring prices do not burden consumers.
Thus, the pricing of music concert tickets at the CRSL Concert is categorized as
legal and does not conflict with the principles of tas'ir and is in accordance with
the values of justice according to Imam al-Gazali.
