The implementation of marriage guidance refers to the regulation of the Ministry of Religious Affairs through the Circular Letter of Islamic Guidance Number 2 of 2024. However, although marriage guidance has been regulated, there are some practices that are considered not in accordance with the existing organizational guidelines. In this case, the author wants to see the extent to which the practice of marriage guidance at the Pasirian District KUA is in line with the procedures and objectives of the marriage guidance program and to identify its effect on the legal knowledge of prospective brides. This research is a field research using an empirical juridical approach. With this approach, the author tries to see the implementation of marriage guidance carried out at the Pasirian District KUA, then the practice is analyzed through relevant laws and regulations. This research is based on data obtained from several data collection techniques including interviews, observation, and documentation. Interviews were conducted with various parties, including organizers and prospective brides who participated in marriage guidance. Observations were made of the implementation of marriage guidance at the Pasirian District KUA. The data obtained from interviews and observations were strengthened with documentation data and then analyzed using the theory of legal socialization This study shows that, first, the implementation of marriage guidance at the Pasirian Sub-district KUA does not fully run according to the guidelines, such as the absence of a budget, face-to-face methods that do not meet standards, short duration, and important material is not delivered. As a result, cooperation with resource persons was limited, the bride-to-be's right to full information was not fulfilled, certificates were not printed, and monitoring was neglected. The material only focuses on religious and health aspects, while the legal aspects are ignored, so the purpose of marriage guidance is not optimally achieved. Secondly, the practice of marriage guidance has had a good effect on the readiness of prospective brides and grooms to settle down according to their level of knowledge and understanding before attending marriage guidance. There are some brides-to-be who have no legal knowledge, while others have less understanding, and for them, marriage guidance has a significant effect. As for those who already knew, the guidance has strengthened their understanding. Thus, their understanding focuses on the concept of a sakinah family, reproductive health, and quality generation, and there are some materials that are still not understood by prospective brides or have not been conveyed in the marriage guidance PB - UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA KW - Bimbingan Perkawinan KW - Pengetahuan Hukum KW - Calon Pengantin M1 - masters TI - BIMBINGAN PERKAWINAN DAN PENGETAHUAN HUKUM CALON PENGANTIN: KAJIAN DI KANTOR URUSAN AGAMA (KUA) KECAMATAN PASIRIAN KABUPATEN LUMAJANG AV - restricted EP - 192 ER -
