"This research explores the prevalent issue of religious discrimination in\r\nIndonesia and addresses the lack of studies examining this topic through frameworks\r\nother than axiological and transcendent metaphysical perspectives, which are mainly\r\nstructural and substantial. Accordingly, it offers a novel interpretation of the issue by\r\nfirst investigating the genealogy and topology of the phenomenon of religious\r\ndiscrimination in Indonesia and subsequently analyzing and interpreting the findings\r\nthrough the lens of Gilles Deleuze's metaphysical theory of immanence, as he was\r\none of the key figures in French post-structuralism.\r\nHence, this study aims to answer the research question, namely: what insights\r\ncan be gleaned when examining religious discrimination against minority and\r\nheterodox beliefs in Indonesia through the lens of metaphysics of immanence\r\ndeveloped by Gilles Deleuze; by using descriptive-interpretive approach.\r\nThe study concludes that the practice of religious discrimination and violence\r\nin Indonesia is a reactive phenomenon. It’s a product of a structural-representational\r\nworldview that has long been forged by history and could endanger the sustainability\r\nof Indonesia's plane of immanence if not addressed promptly. The alternative solution\r\noffered is for society and the state to fully embrace (affirm) the active, creative,\r\nsingular, and heterodox character of the immanent and becoming reality by reevaluating\r\nsaid dominant worldview (the old image of thought); particularly if\r\ndiversity (i.e., difference and multiplicity) is deemed important and vital to the nation."^^ .
