Accordingly, it offers a novel interpretation of the issue by first investigating the genealogy and topology of the phenomenon of religious discrimination in Indonesia and subsequently analyzing and interpreting the findings through the lens of Gilles Deleuze's metaphysical theory of immanence, as he was one of the key figures in French post-structuralism. Hence, this study aims to answer the research question, namely: what insights can be gleaned when examining religious discrimination against minority and heterodox beliefs in Indonesia through the lens of metaphysics of immanence developed by Gilles Deleuze; by using descriptive-interpretive approach. The study concludes that the practice of religious discrimination and violence in Indonesia is a reactive phenomenon. It?s a product of a structural-representational worldview that has long been forged by history and could endanger the sustainability of Indonesia's plane of immanence if not addressed promptly. The alternative solution offered is for society and the state to fully embrace (affirm) the active, creative, singular, and heterodox character of the immanent and becoming reality by reevaluating said dominant worldview (the old image of thought); particularly if diversity (i.e., difference and multiplicity) is deemed important and vital to the nation.
