"The concept of prayer from Al-Ghazali's perspective as an alternative\r\nmeans of solving online gambling problems is intended to gain an\r\nunderstanding of Al-Ghazali's concept of prayer as a solution to online\r\ngambling problems. This study highlights the increasingly widespread\r\nphenomenon of online gambling in Indonesia, driven by technological\r\nadvances that are now widely used for negative purposes. This is indicated\r\nby data stating that around 2.7 million Indonesians, some of whom are\r\nMuslims, are involved in online gambling, covering various levels of\r\nsociety. The rules in Islam clearly prohibit gambling because it damages\r\nmorals and fosters greed. The formulation of the problem in this study is: (1)\r\nWhat are the values of the concept of prayer from Al-Ghazali's perspective?\r\n(2) What are the values of prayer from Al-Ghazali's perspective as a solution\r\nto online gambling problems?\r\nThis type of research is qualitative in the form of literature (library\r\nresearch). The method used is bibliography which involves systematic steps\r\nin finding, reading, and reviewing relevant books that aim to make it easier\r\nto understand Al-Ghazali's thoughts regarding his philosophical and Sufism\r\nconcepts. The primary source of this research relies on the book Ihya'\r\nUlumuddin by Al-Ghazali, with a special emphasis on the discussion related\r\nto the concept of Sufism in prayer. In processing the data, this research uses\r\nseveral techniques, including: (1) Description, this research explains the\r\nconcepts contained in Al-Ghazali's thoughts as a whole, especially about the\r\nconcept of prayer. (2) Interpretation, this research conducts a deep dive and\r\nexplores the ideas and ideas contained in Al-Ghazali's works on prayer. (3)\r\nAnalysis, this research explains certain terms that require a deep conceptual\r\nunderstanding.\r\nThe results of this study indicate that prayer is not only an obligation\r\nand pillar of religion for Muslims, but can also make a positive contribution\r\nto the problems of human life such as the problems of online gambling.\r\nSome of Al-Ghazali's views on prayer can help overcome the problem of\r\nonline gambling as follows: (1) Strengthening faith and piety, (2) Increasing\r\nawareness and self -control, (3) Filling time with positive activities, (4)\r\nStrengthening positive social relationships, (5) Growing awareness of the\r\nconsequences of gambling, (6) Requesting protection and guidance, (7)\r\nInstilling moral values."^^ .
