description: This research discusses the emancipation views of Qasim Amin from  Egypt and Raden Ajeng Kartini from Indonesia, two pioneering figures of  women's emancipation in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Both have  the same spirit in fighting for women's equality in a patriarchal society.  However, differences in social background, culture, and interpretation of  Islam create different approaches in their views. The formulation of the  problem in this research is: How do Qasim Amin and Raden Ajeng Kartini  view women's emancipation, and how is the comparison between their views?  This research aims to analyze the views of women's emancipation of  Qasim and Kartini, and map the similarities and differences between the two  in expressing their views related to women's emancipation. This research uses  qualitative methods, with descriptive analysis methods, historical continuity,  interpretation, and comparative. The data collected in this research is through  literature studies taken from primary sources, namely the books Tahrir Al-  Mar'ah and Al-Mar'ah Al-Jadidah by Qasim Amin and a collection of Kartini's  letters written in the book Habis Gelap terbitlah terang. While secondary data  comes from books, articles, and theses related to the two figures.  The results show that both fought for access to education for women,  voiced women's contribution to society, demanded the right to file for divorce,  and rejected the practice of polygamy, both are also inspired by Western  thought. However, there are differences in their approach to religious texts,  thus distinguishing their style of feminism. In addition, different cultural and  national conditions also influenced the differences in the spirit of their  struggle. Future researchers are advised to relate their views to the issue of  women's emancipation today.
