Consistent moral development really needs to be internalized by parents, especially father figures, in order to protect children from deviant actions. However, often the stigma regarding fathering is only seen as protecting the family's finances, which actually has the impact of narrowing the essence of the relationship between father and child. In fact, the figure of the father (fathering) has an important influence on the child's growth and development process, including in the formation of the child's morals. Therefore, this research aims to: (1) Analyzing the fathering parenting pattern in forming children's morals from a hadith perspective in Batak Mandailing ethnic families, (2) Analyzing the fathering parenting model in forming children's morals in Mandailing Batak ethnic families, (3) Analyzing the obstacles and solutions to implementing fathering parenting patterns in the formation children's morals in Mandailing Batak families. This research uses a qualitative type of research using a phenomenologicalanthropological approach, the target analysis is fathering figures in implementing parenting patterns for children in Mandailing Batak families. Data collection techniques use interviews, observation and documentation. Checking the validity of the data uses triangulation. Meanwhile, data analysis techniques go through the stages of data condensation, data presentation, drawing conclusions and verification. The results of this research show that: (1) Fathering parenting patterns in the formation of children's morals from a hadith perspective in Mandailing Batak families have been realized through several parenting methods associated with hadiths, such as: a. Habituation method; getting children used to praying in congregation, learning to recite the Koran, fasting, and getting children used to eating by saying the name of Allah, b. Exemplary method; foster children to be honest and maintain cleanliness, c. Motivating methods; motivating children to study, d. Method of giving advice; advise children not to fall into free association, e. Method of giving punishment; impose educational or educative punishments if the child makes a mistake. (2) The model of fathering parenting in the formation of children's morals in Mandailing Batak families in Deli Serdang Regency, in the form of: "authoritative" parenting, namely a parenting pattern that prioritizes two-way communication between parents and children. Mandailing Batak ethnic fathers are generally more firm and strict, but still adapt to the child's needs. (3) Obstacles and solutions to implementing the fathering parenting style in forming children's morals in Mandailing Batak families in Deli Serdang Regency, namely: a. constraint; fading Batak philosophy in children and the negative impact of technology on children's morals, b. Solution; Mandailing Batak ethnic fathers should apply the ideal parenting model in accordance with the times. Keywords: Parenting Patterns, Fathering, Morals, Hadith.
