At the age of 5-6 years, children are in the golden period of brain development, which is ideal for introducing reading skills. Early reading helps children understand the connection between written symbols and their meanings, enrich their vocabulary, and enhance communication skills. However, a major challenge is the low pre-reading abilities and limited vocabulary, as observed in Group B at TK PKK Maguwoharjo. Therefore, interactive and engaging learning media are needed to effectively support the development of early reading skills. This study aims to design and test a digital flipbook-based picture storybook Where Did Aunt Hide? as an innovation in early reading instruction. The study uses the 4D development model, which includes: 1) Define, identifying early literacy issues and the need for interactive media; 2) Design, creating a flipbook-based picture storybook with engaging visuals using Canva and Heyzine Flipbook; 3) Develop, expert validation with scores of 98.75% for media feasibility and 97.78% for content; 4) Disseminate, field testing with children in Group B at TK PKK Maguwoharjo. The results show that the digital flipbook media is effective in improving children's early reading skills. Based on the one-group pretest-posttest method, data analysis reveals an average n-gain score of 0.7 (high category) and a n-gain percentage of 78%. These results indicate that the media successfully improved reading ability, enriched vocabulary, and boosted children's confidence in reading. Additionally, the media created an interactive and enjoyable learning experience, increasing children's reading interest. Based on the findings, the digital flipbook picture storybook Where Did Aunt Hide? is proven to be an effective learning tool for supporting early literacy development in young children, contributing positively to language development and enhancing their enthusiasm for learning. .
