One example is a physics comic book based on local wisdom. This research aims to: 1) develop a teaching material in the form of a local wisdom physics comic about the Palembang Bidar competition to improve vector representation skills, 2) determine the quality and effectiveness of the developed local wisdom physics comic in enhancing vector representation skills, and 3) assess student responses to the developed product in improving vector representation skills. The content is based on the Palembang Bidar competition, referring to the material on momentum and impulse. The research method used is R&D (Research and Development) with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The product evaluation was conducted by material experts, media experts, and physics teacher. The research subjects consisted of 30 eleventh-grade students of SMA Budi Utomo for the field test. The research instruments included both test and non-test instruments. The test instruments included pretests and posttests to improve vector representation skills, while the non-test instruments included product assessments, material evaluations, student response questionnaires, and feasibility tests. The quality assessment of the product uses a Likert scale ranging from 1 to 4, its effectiveness in improving vector representation skills is measured using N-gain, and student responses are evaluated using the Guttman scale. The research results show that a teaching material in the form of a local wisdom physics comic on the Palembang Bidar competition (Komik Si Kembar) was developed to improve vector representation skills. The product quality assessment by material experts, media experts, and physics teachers scored 3.65, 3.80, and 3.76, respectively, all categorized as Excellent (SB). The use of this local wisdom physics comic on the Palembang Bidar competition was proven to be effective in improving vector representation in physics learning on momentum and impulse. This was evidenced by the average pretest score of 49.87, which increased to 82.80 in the posttest, with an N-gain score of 0.65 in the moderate category. Student responses to the comic scored 0.92, categorized as Agree (S). Observations of feasibility implementation showed that the teacher assessed the comic as a useful tool for accurately broadening the students’ understanding. The findings of this study indicate that the developed local wisdom physics comic can be used as a teaching material to enhance students' vector representation skills. %Z Joko Purwanto S.Si., M.Sc.
