"Teaching materials are any form of content used to support the learning\r\nprocess. One example is a physics comic book based on local wisdom. This research\r\naims to: 1) develop a teaching material in the form of a local wisdom physics comic\r\nabout the Palembang Bidar competition to improve vector representation skills, 2)\r\ndetermine the quality and effectiveness of the developed local wisdom physics\r\ncomic in enhancing vector representation skills, and 3) assess student responses to\r\nthe developed product in improving vector representation skills. The content is\r\nbased on the Palembang Bidar competition, referring to the material on momentum\r\nand impulse.\r\nThe research method used is R&D (Research and Development) with the\r\nADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The\r\nproduct evaluation was conducted by material experts, media experts, and physics\r\nteacher. The research subjects consisted of 30 eleventh-grade students of SMA Budi\r\nUtomo for the field test. The research instruments included both test and non-test\r\ninstruments. The test instruments included pretests and posttests to improve vector\r\nrepresentation skills, while the non-test instruments included product assessments,\r\nmaterial evaluations, student response questionnaires, and feasibility tests. The\r\nquality assessment of the product uses a Likert scale ranging from 1 to 4, its\r\neffectiveness in improving vector representation skills is measured using N-gain,\r\nand student responses are evaluated using the Guttman scale.\r\nThe research results show that a teaching material in the form of a local\r\nwisdom physics comic on the Palembang Bidar competition (Komik Si Kembar)\r\nwas developed to improve vector representation skills. The product quality\r\nassessment by material experts, media experts, and physics teachers scored 3.65,\r\n3.80, and 3.76, respectively, all categorized as Excellent (SB). The use of this local\r\nwisdom physics comic on the Palembang Bidar competition was proven to be\r\neffective in improving vector representation in physics learning on momentum and\r\nimpulse. This was evidenced by the average pretest score of 49.87, which increased\r\nto 82.80 in the posttest, with an N-gain score of 0.65 in the moderate category.\r\nStudent responses to the comic scored 0.92, categorized as Agree (S). Observations\r\nof feasibility implementation showed that the teacher assessed the comic as a useful\r\ntool for accurately broadening the students’ understanding.
