As an educator, he or she plays a role in improving the quality of learning and guiding teachers to achieve high educational standards. In the managerial function, the principal is in charge of managing educational resources, both human and material, effectively and efficiently. As an administrator, he or she ensures the smooth process of school administration and governance. In addition, the principal also performs the role of supervisor, responsible for overseeing and evaluating the implementation of learning and teacher performance. As a leader, he becomes a role model in setting the direction and vision of the school, while his role as an innovator encourages the development of new ideas for school progress. Equally important, the principal functions as a motivator who is able to inspire and encourage all school members to achieve common goals. This study aims to analyze the role of the principal in the development of educational institutions at SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Depok based on the EMASLIM perspective (Educator, Managerial, Administrator, Supervisor, Leader, Innovator, and Motivator). The method used in this research is a qualitative research method with interviews, observation, and documentation as data collection techniques. The subjects in this research are based on 3M, namely knowing, understanding, and experiencing directly the theme under study. In analyzing the data, researchers conducted data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing and verification. In testing the validity of the data, researchers used source triangulation and technique triangulation. The results showed that principals play a significant role in formulating the school's vision and mission, improving teacher competence, strengthening school culture, and encouraging technology-based learning innovations. The implementation of EMASLIM values is proven to be able to create a productive, quality-oriented, and relevant educational environment. This study concludes that the effectiveness of the principal's role is strongly influenced by his ability to integrate EMASLIM principles into school management strategies. Recommendations are given to strengthen principals' leadership training and involve all stakeholders in the sustainable development of educational institutions.} }
