"In the current world situation, the conflict between\r\nPalestine and Israel has become a major international issue.\r\nThe conflict that has been going on for decades has significant\r\npolitical, social and humanitarian consequences. To support\r\nthe Palestinian cause, the National Sharia Council of the\r\nIndonesian Ulema Council (DSN MUI) issued Fatwa No. 83\r\nwhich regulates the law of supporting the Palestinian cause. In\r\nthe fatwa, the DSN MUI emphasizes the importance of\r\nMuslim solidarity in supporting the Palestinian cause, taking\r\ninto account fellow Muslims who are experiencing prolonged\r\nconflict. Such support is not only moral, but can also be in the\r\nform of material and political support that helps Palestinians\r\nfight for their rights.\r\nThis research tries to answer the main question: Why\r\nis the DSN MUI Fatwa No.83 of 2023 concerning the law of\r\nsupport for the Palestinian cause applied in Indonesia?; How\r\nis the application of the Fatwa in view of Saddu az-zari’ah ?;\r\nThis research is a library research by considering previous\r\nresearch. This research approach is normative research.\r\nResearchers chose normative research that uses the theory of\r\nSaddu az-zari’ah . This research uses a data analysis system\r\nthat is carried out with an analytical approach to the object\r\nunder study. The object studied by the researcher is the boycott\r\nphenomenon which is the recommendation in the MUI DSN Fatwa No.83 of 2023 concerning the law of support for the\r\nPalestinian cause. The nature of this research is analytical\r\ndescriptive research, providing a detailed description of a\r\nproblem, symptom, fact, and reality at large and analyzed\r\nusing theory in depth so that a new understanding is obtained.\r\nThe results of this study state that the establishment\r\nof Fatwa DSN MUI No. 83 of 2023 is a form of Indonesia's\r\nsupport for Palestinian independence. This support is not only\r\nbased on diplomatic relations, but also part of the basic\r\nprinciples of Indonesia's foreign policy which rejects all forms\r\nof colonization and oppression. One form of Indonesia's\r\nsupport for the Palestinian cause is through fatwas. Indonesia's\r\nstance in supporting the Palestinian struggle is the purpose of\r\nthe implementation of Fatwa DSN MUI No.83 of 2023\r\ndesigned to support the Palestinian struggle by considering\r\nvarious aspects not only from the religious side. In addition,\r\nbased on the perspective of Saddu az-zari’ah , first, the legal\r\nchanges that result in the application of this fatwa, which\r\ninitially transactions against Zionist products are permissible\r\nbecome haram. Second, closing the greater mafasad with a\r\nsmaller mafasad, boycotting Zionist products is expected to\r\nstop the damage caused by Israeli aggression against Palestine.\r\nThird, the recommendation to boycott Zionist products as a\r\nform of support and attitude towards the Palestinian struggle."^^ .
