"The massive use of social media today has led many individuals to self-disclose\r\nonline about themselves. One of the predictors of self-disclosure behavior on social\r\nmedia is personality specifically the big five personality. This study aims to\r\ndetermine whether there is a relationship between big five personality traits and\r\nonline self-disclosure in social media users. The method used in this study is a\r\ncorrelational quantitative method with 310 respondents consisting of 46 male and\r\n264 female in early adult (18-25 years old) social media users. The sampling\r\ntechnique used a non-probability sampling technique, namely quota sampling.\r\nData collection using measuring instruments RSDS (Revised Self Disclosure Scale)\r\nWheeless Indonesian version by Fauzia et al and BFI-2 (Big Five Inventory version\r\n2) by Oliver P. John and Chritopher J. Soto Indonesian translation version by Ide\r\nBagus Siaputra. The results of the analysis of this study indicate that there is a\r\nrelationship between big five personality traits and online self-disclosure in social\r\nmedia users with a contribution of big five personality traits to simultaneous selfdisclosure\r\nof 83.9%. In addition, of the five dimensions of the big five personality\r\ntraits that have a significant positive relationship with online self-disclosure are\r\nneuroticism and openness to new experiences. While the personality types of\r\nextraversion, agreeableness and conscientiousness did not show a significant\r\nrelationship with online self-disclosure. There is no significant difference in the\r\nlevel of self-disclosure between the group of social media users less than 3 hours\r\nand the group of social media users more than 3 hours."^^ .
