"Effective science learning at an early age can strengthen children's logical\r\nthinking skills. However, the reality in the field shows that current science learning\r\nstill does not fully involve children actively. Existing methods, such as\r\ndemonstrations and worksheets, are limited in providing optimal hands-on\r\nexperience, so that the delivery of scientific concepts is not optimal, less interesting,\r\nand not entirely based on the child’s developmental level. therefore the utilization\r\nof natural media as an innovation in learning. This study aims to determine whether\r\nthere is an effect of the utilization of natural media on the development of science\r\nskills of children aged 5-6 years at amal insani kindergarten.\r\nThis type of research is quantitative research with a form of pre-experiment\r\nand research design, namely one-group pretest-posttest. The subjects of this study\r\nwere 5-6 year old students at Amal Insani Kindergarten. The data were collected\r\nthrough questionnaires (observations) and secondary data in the form of activity\r\ndocumentation in photos. The analysis was conducted using simple linear\r\nregression techniques with the aid of Microsoft Excel and SPSS software. The\r\nanalysis process involved the output of the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and\r\ndescriptive statistics.\r\nThe research results indicate that the use of natural materials as media has a\r\npositive effect on the development of science skills. This is evident from the higher\r\naverage posttest score (9.1) compared to the average pretest score (1.9) and the\r\nresults of the Wilcoxon test, which show an Asymp. Sig. value of 0.000 < 0.05,\r\nindicating a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores. These\r\nfindings demonstrate that utilizing natural materials as media positively impacts the\r\ndevelopment of science skills in children aged 5-6 years. Therefore, it can be\r\nconcluded that the use of natural materials as media influences the development of\r\nscience skills in children aged 5-6 years at Amal Insani Kindergarten."^^ .
