Language becomes a tool for communicating with interlocutors. In that sense, language is the most important instrument and can influence everyday life, because if you cannot communicate it means you cannot express what you think and what you want. Stimulation of language development can be done by storytelling. Apart from being able to be done anywhere and anytime, fairy tales can also improve communication between children and parents if applied at home, so that fairy tales become an effective and efficient choice. This research aims: 1.) To observe the process of providing stimulation carried out by volunteers in Kampung Dongeng Yogyakarta to young children in storytelling activities. 2.) To collect data on the importance of fairy tales in stimulating early childhood language development. This research uses a qualitative research method using a phenomenological approach. The techniques used in collecting data are observation, interviews and documentation techniques. The results of this research show that the Yogyakarta Fairy Tale Village has a role in stimulating early childhood language development, namely: First, the storytelling activities brought by the volunteers are very varied, namely by imitating sounds like animals and using the right intonation and body gestures such as running. Fairy tales are also presented using media such as songs, instruments, dolls, puppets, books, costumes, makeup and appropriate settings that are well decorated. Second, the fairy tales presented play an important role in stimulating children's language development. Used as an intermediary to introduce new vocabulary, teach how to communicate, teach children to respond or express feelings in the desired sentence and also teach children to determine the structure to be used.} }
