"The Presidential Threshold in the 2024 presidential general election refers to the provisions in Law Nomor 7/2017 on General Elections Article 222 which states “Candidate Pairs are proposed by Political Parties or Joint Political Parties participating in the Election that meet the requirements of obtaining at least 20% (twenty percent) of the total number of seats in the DPR or obtaining 25% (twenty-five percent) of the national valid votes in the previous DPR elections”. This policy sets a threshold that parties or coalitions must pass to nominate their candidates, substantially limiting access for many presidential and vice presidential candidates.\r\nThe type of research used is normative legal research. The approaches used in this research include a statute approach which is used to analyze laws and regulations relevant to the research theme, an analytical & conceptual approach which focuses on the study of views and doctrines that have developed in the field of law, a historical approach which involves examining the background and development of the material under study, and a case approach which is applied to further explore the issues under study. The data sources in this research include secondary data, which are obtained through literature studies. The data analysis used is descriptive qualitative. The author describes the presentation of the results of the analysis, drawing conclusions that can explain how the impact of the application of the Presidential Threshold is detrimental to the rights of political parties in the 2024 Indonesian Presidential General Election from general to specific.\r\nThe results of this study indicate that the application of the Presidential Threshold in the 2024 presidential general election has had a negative impact on the rights of political parties in Indonesia, namely the limited constitutional rights of political parties as election participants in terms of proposing candidates for President and Vice President, the obstruction of the right to nominate themselves as candidates for President and Vice President and the emergence of injustice among political parties, as can be seen from the fifteen political parties that cannot propose pairs of candidates for President and Vice President in the 2024 general election. The legislators, in this case the President and the DPR, should make the Presidential Threshold to 0% or be abolished and form a political party supervisory institution whose function is to select political parties in terms of paying attention to the ideology of political parties and paying attention to the ideology of political parties participating in general elections, so that later even though the threshold becomes 0%, it still creates quality and well-verified Presidential and Vice Presidential elections."^^ .
