In an effort to ensure the conduciveness of this pluralistic society, the Indonesian government has made various efforts to educate about understanding the concept of tolerance, one of which is the focus of this study is freedom of worship and the implementation of religious moderation. Apart from these efforts, based on the Tolerant City Index research conducted by the SETARA Institute, Padang City from 2020-2023 is included in the category of cities with the lowest 10 indexes. This study aims to determine and describe how the understanding of freedom of worship for non-Muslim minorities by looking at the perspective of Muslim high school students in Padang City, then, provide an overview of how the implementation of religious moderation takes place in the Padang City community. The study was conducted using a mixed method combining quantitative and qualitative. Quantitative data collection in this study used a questionnaire, while for qualitative methods using interviews, observations, and documentation. For validity testing, the product moment test was used, and the Cronbach alpha technique was used to test reliability. For quantitative data analysis, descriptive analysis and qualitative analysis were used through data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study are: Most Muslim high school students in Padang City have a good perspective on the freedom of worship of non-Muslim minorities with a percentage of 53%. Furthermore, the implementation of religious moderation in Padang City is going well and conducive. %Z Dr. Nur Saidah, S.Ag., M. Ag.
