description: Family planning is the most important part of family planning to help individuals or couples to manage family life wisely. According to MA. Sahal Mahfudh, the success of family planning is not simply measured by the number of children, but by the quality of the children born. During the New Order era in the 1980s, many regions rejected the concept of family planning because it was considered an effort to limit offspring. However, the people of Kajen Village were more open and accepted the concept of family planning by adhering to the principles of the maṣlaḥah family concept thought by MA. Sahal Mahfudh as a guideline in regulating offspring and improving the quality of family life. This is reinforced by data from the Kajen Community Health Center, that the implementation of family planning in Kajen Village has experienced positive developments every year. In 2021-2023, the family planning participation rate in Kajen Village reached 78% of the total Fertile Age Couples (PUS), this figure is higher than the average of surrounding villages which only reached 65%. Although the level of acceptance of this program is quite high, the community still adheres to the values of Islamic teachings that are in line with the concept of maṣlaḥah family.  This research is a field research conducted in Kajen Village, Pati Regency. This research is descriptive-analytic in nature. The data collection technique is by conducting interviews with several elements of the community from Kajen Village, as well as documentation. The data obtained were then analyzed qualitatively using the inductive method and then conclusions were drawn using a sociological approach, namely by using the theory of social construction by Peter L. Berger and Thomas Luckman. In this case, the authors analyze the views of the people of Kajen Village on the concept of maṣlaḥah family thinking of MA. Sahal Mahfudh's concept of family planning through the process of externalization, objectivation, and internalization.  The results showed that the thoughts of MA. Sahal Mahfudh's concept of maṣlaḥah family has a significant influence on family planning by the people of Kajen Village. There is a harmony between the objectives of family planning implemented by the informants and the ideas put forward by MA. Sahal Mahfudh. The informants who came from various backgrounds, such as kiai, traders, housewives, and teachers, accepted the ideas conveyed by MA. Sahal Mahfudh through the objectivation process in the form of applying family planning patterns to improve family quality. Furthermore, the informants began to accept the values from the objectivation process as the principles of the informants in planning the family
