Through the depiction of the interaction of the Ustadz character with other figures, the film explores how power and influence can be abused to commit deviant acts such as sexual harassment, especially against those who are vulnerable. On the other hand, the audience's response in interpreting the presentation of the Ustadz play in this way gives rise to various perceptions depending on the values of knowledge possessed by each audience. This research focuses on three problem formulations, namely How is the presentation of the Ustadz Desacralization play in Cinema Horror Qorin 2022, Second How is the production of meaning in the play Desacralization Ustadz in Cinema Horror Qorin 2022, Third, How is the social perception of the Ustadz Desacralization play in Cinema Horror Qorin 2022. This research uses Stuart Hall's representation theory approach which specifically examines how popular culture such as films through stories and visualization of images have a role in shaping audience perceptions. The type of research is qualitative research with data collection techniques, namely documentation and online observational. Based on the results of the research conducted, there are the following findings. First, Ustadz is shown in four play presentations, namely: 1). Misusing religious teachings for personal gain, 2). Enmeshed in the Practice of Shirk, 3). Sexual harassment of students, and 4) acts of physical violence against students. The presentation of the play leads to the desacralization of Ustadz in the storyline. Second, the production of meaning through the presentation of the play with characters and choices of film elements in the form of dark lighting and ambiguous dialogue shows four forms of meaning production, namely 1). Exploitation of Religious Teachings, 2). Degradation of Faith, 3). Moral Deviation, and 4). resistance to crime in the name of religion. Third, through the presentation of the Ustadz desacralization play that was displayed, some viewers accepted the message conveyed and some rejected it. the presentation of the Ustadz play in Qorin Film illustrates that respect and obedience to Ustadz legitimized by religion is indeed sacred. However, if the sacredness in practice is used for deviant things, it is possible that it will experience resistance.
