The population in this research are banking companies in Indonesia registered with the indonesia financial services authority (OJK) for the period 2019 to 2023. This type of research uses quantitative methods. The sample in this study used purposive sampling technique. The method used in this research is panel data regression analysis. The data obtained were 110 data from 22 banks and then processed using Stata 17. The results showed of capital employed efficiency (CEE) had a positive effect on the performance of Islamic and conventional banks. Structural capital efficiency (SCE) and human capital efficiency (HCE) have a positive effect on the performance of Islamic banks while conventional banks has no effect. Intellectual capital (VAIC) and capital strength (CAR) variables show no effect on the performance of Islamic and conventional banks. Company size has no influence on the performance of Islamic banks while a positive influence is shown on the performance of conventional banks.
