The background of this research stems from findings that some students are still less active in learning, lack confidence in responding to teachers' questions, and show dependence when completing assignments. This raises the need for further study on factors that can influence students' learning independence, one of which is parental parenting style. The research method used is a quantitative design with a correlational approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to students and analyzed using the Pearson Product Moment correlation test. The study involved a 4 of fourth-grade MI students in Manisrenggo District. The results indicate a positive and significant relationship between democratic parenting and students' learning independence. The correlation coefficient of 0.542 shows a moderate relationship, while the significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 suggests that the result is statistically significant. Thus, democratic parenting contributes significantly to improving students' learning independence. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the higher the implementation of democratic parenting by parents, the higher the students' learning independence. Conversely, if democratic parenting is low, students' learning independence also tends to be low.
