According to Indonesia Pediatric Center Registry recorded 3,834 new pediatric cancer cases in Indonesia in 2021?2022, with 833 deaths and 519 cases of treatment discontinuation. This situation creates significant emotional distress for parents. Therefore, therapeutic communication used to support to help them manage their anxiety. This study aims to determine and analyze the therapeutic communication techniques used by social workers at Yayasan Kasih Anak Kanker Indonesia (YKAKI) Yogyakarta in assisting parents in coping with anxiety. The research used a descriptive qualitative method with interviews, observations, and documentation for data collection. The research results showed that the therapeutic communication techniques applied by social workers at YKAKI Yogyakarta help create supportive interactions, provide a sense of security, and enhance parents understanding of their child's condition. In addition, effective therapeutic communication plays a important role in improving parents psychological well-being and supporting, which in the end can have a positive impact on the child's recovery.} }
