This phenomenon occurs in features that should provide benefits to improve the game being misused to distribute bad words. The phenomenon of trash talking that is rampant in Mobile Legends, especially in the competitive realm, raises questions about how players respond to it, whether they consider it part of the competition or as disruptive behavior. The purpose of this study is to determine the perception of Mobile Legends game players towards trash talking in the Mobile Legends Community Kalijaga. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method. The results of this study indicate that the formation of the perception of MLC Kalijaga member players towards trash talking in the Mobile Legends game is to make a selection by choosing trash talking that contains constructive messages, interpreting trash talking as part of the dynamics of the game, and reacting wisely with emotional control in dealing with the situation and looking for the positive side of the criticism delivered. Although trash talking is often considered negative, experienced players are able to filter out irrelevant information, focus on aspects that improve gameplay, and respond to trash talking calmly and wisely.
