Although the marriage registration system has been digitized through the Marriage Management Information System (SIMKAH), the people of Jati Village still rely heavily on modin in the administration and implementation of marriage. This study uses a qualitative approach with sociological methods, where data is obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results of the study show that modin plays an important role as a marriage registration administrator, assisting couples in taking care of marriage documents and acting as a liaison between the community and the Religious Affairs Office (KUA). In addition, modin also acts as a leader of the marriage contract procession, ensuring that the marriage is carried out according to local religious and cultural provisions. In the context of Talcott Parsons' social role theory, modin plays an institutional role that is passed down from generation to generation and contributes to maintaining social stability. Modin fulfills community expectations in carrying out religious and administrative functions, which strengthens social ties in the village. However, the challenges faced are the low digital literacy of the community and limited access to a technology-based marriage registration system. This study confirms that even though the marriage administration system has undergone modernization, the existence of modins remains relevant and needed by the community. Therefore, there needs to be training for modins regarding digital administration technology and increased access to information for the community so that the marriage registration process can run more effectively without eliminating the social role of modins in the community.} }
