This practice is influenced by various factors, such as low levels of education, inadequate economic conditions, family traditions, and marriages that occur due to pregnancy outside of marriage, often called “Marriage by Accident)”. The community's dependence on the tin mining sector also contributes to low participation in education and increased rates of early marriage. This study aims to analyze the phenomenon of unregistered early marriage in Belo Laut Village from the perspective of Islamic law and understand the process and roles of the parties involved in this practice. The method used in this research is qualitative with a normative-sociological approach. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results show that early marriage in Belo Laut Village can be divided into two types, namely officially recorded marriages at the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) and unrecorded marriages, or nikah siri. The main factors that encourage the community to choose unregistered marriage include high administrative costs, a lack of understanding of the law, and the ease of procedures for siri marriage, which is often facilitated by private clerks. The impacts of early marriage are significant, including high divorce rates, emotional immaturity of the couple, economic instability of the household, and health risks for women who marry at a young age. Various efforts to address early marriage have been made by village governments, religious leaders, and educational institutions through socialization and legal regulations. However, more effective strategies are still needed, such as economic empowerment programs, increasing awareness of the importance of education, and strengthening the supervision of legal regulations to reduce the practice of unregistered marriages. date: 2025-03-10 date_type: published pages: 95 institution: UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA department: FAKULTAS SYARI’AH DAN HUKUM thesis_type: skripsi thesis_name: other citation: Annisa Ega Syafitri, NIM.: 21103050097 (2025) ANALISIS HUKUM ISLAM PADA PRAKTIK PERNIKAHAN DINI NIKAH TIDAK TERCATAT DI DESA BELO LAUT KECAMATAN MENTOK KABUPATEN BANGKA BARAT.
