E-commerce, emerging as a prominent outcome of these technological developments, has become central to the online shopping experience. Shopee, a leading e-commerce platform, consistently seeks to innovate in order to enhance the quality of services offered to its users. One notable innovation is the Shopee coin feature, which provides buyers with price discount benefits. One method of collecting Shopee coins is by claiming cashback vouchers, which are typically offered exclusively by Shopee when using payment methods like ShopeePay or ShopeePayLater. However, this practice of cashback raises questions regarding its alignment with sharia principles, particularly in terms of the contracts involved in transactions utilizing ShopeePay and ShopeePayLater. Therefore, further research is necessary to clarify the legal standings and contract compatibility associated with Shopee cashback. This research employs a qualitative approach, that combines field research and literature review, employing descriptive-analytical methods to examine the principles of muamalah fiqh in relation to purchase transactions using cashback vouchers on the Shopee application. The study aims to understand and analyze the concept of cashback within the framework of muamalah fiqh. The research approach is normative-empirical, focusing on muamalah fiqh alongside empirical elements from the community, particularly concerning the use of Shopee cashback. Data collection methods include observation, literature review, and documentation, which are subsequently analyzed using a qualitative descriptive method. The results of this study indicate that Shopee provides a cashback program in the form of coins that can be utilized for future purchases. The redemption of cashback vouchers is subject to various terms and conditions, including minimum purchase amounts and specific payment methods. Upon reviewing the principles of fiqh muamalah, this cashback initiative is classified as a ju’ālah contract, where the coins earned are viewed as rewards. Generally, the use of cashback vouchers on the Shopee application aligns with the fundamental principles and stipulations of the ju’ālah contract in fiqh muamalah. However, the conditions surrounding the use of ShopeePay and ShopeePayLater for claiming cashback have different legal implications within the framework of fiqh muamalah. Specifically, using ShopeePay as a condition for cashback claims is permissible, as it adheres to the principle of wadī'ah yad-amānah. Conversely, employing ShopeePayLater for cashback claims is deemed impermissible due to elements of usury, which contradict the principles of the ju’ālah contract requiring that the rewarded work must be halal and in accordance with syara’. %Z Dr. Saifuddin, SHI., MSI.
