"This study aims to explore how the competence, teaching methods, and\r\ncharacteristics of educators influence the motivation, enthusiasm, and learning\r\npatterns of students at Pondok Pesantren Al-Luqmaniyyah Yogyakarta.\r\nAdditionally, it seeks to understand the role of students' backgrounds, habits, and\r\ncultural values in shaping the dynamics and learning atmosphere within the\r\npesantren environment. Furthermore, this research aims to identify how the use of\r\nkitab kuning as the primary learning resource affects students’ learning patterns,\r\nthinking skills, and internalized values in their daily lives.\r\nThis study employs a qualitative research method with data collection\r\ntechniques including interviews, observations, and documentation. The research\r\nsubjects were selected based on the 3M principle individuals possessing knowledge,\r\nunderstanding, and direct experience related to the research topic. Data analysis\r\nwas conducted through data reduction, presentation, conclusion drawing, and\r\nverification, while data validity was ensured through source and technique\r\ntriangulation.\r\nThe findings indicate that The learning culture at Pondok Pesantren Al-\r\nLuqmaniyyah Yogyakarta is influenced by the character of the teachers, students,\r\nand the role of kitab kuning as the primary source of learning. The competence,\r\nexperience, and professionalism of the teachers shape students' learning patterns\r\nand create a conducive academic environment through both traditional and modern\r\nteaching methods that enhance critical thinking and comprehension. The character\r\nof the students, including motivation, discipline, and study habits, also contributes\r\nto building a dynamic and sustainable academic atmosphere, supported by\r\ninteractions in discussions and deliberations. Kitab kuning serves not only as a\r\nsource of Islamic knowledge but also as a foundation for shaping students'\r\nintellectual, moral, and spiritual character. Through the pesantren's distinctive\r\nlearning methods, kitab kuning preserves the scholarly tradition while adapting to\r\ncontemporary developments.
