This study aims to explore the description and factors that influence the selection of prospective life partners in early adult women with divorced parents. This research method uses a qualitative phenomenological method. The subjects in this study were three early adult women aged 18-40 years, with a background of divorced parents and already had a partner or boyfriend. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation and documentation. The results show that although each informant has a different picture of partner selection, there is a similarity in their tendency to choose partners who are opposite to their father's character. This is due to past experiences that make them anxious about facing problems in similar relationships. They are attracted to partners who can provide the attention and emotional support that they do not get from their fathers, such as presence, care and positive affirmation. However, despite having a partner, they still feel anxious about the possibility of experiencing relationship conflicts like those experienced by their parents as well as concerns about their partner's family's acceptance of their background.
