"Lebe is a person trusted by the community to assist during the marriage registration process at the village level. The issuance of the Director General of Islamic Community Guidance Decision Number 412 of 2022 terminated the position of Lebe as the Asisstant Marriage Registration Officer (P3N), except in region with D1 dan D2 typologies. According to this regulation, prospective spouses are expected to register their marriage intention directly at the District Religious Affairs Office (KUA) without intermediaries. However, the community of Kluwut Village continue to uphold the role of Lebe due to trust, customs, and the ease of access during the marriage registration process. Additionally, the high number of marriage events in Bulakamba District has led the KUA to continue coordinating with Lebe to facilitate the scheduling of marriage ceremonies. The position and role of the Lebe, which no longer holds a formal position, is deemed necessary to be re-examined using a structural functionalism perspective, considering how the community structure can influence the implementation of marriage registration laws in Kluwut Village.\r\nThe type of research conducted by the author is field research with a juridico-empirical approach. This research uses primary data sources, namely direct interviews with the Lebe, the officials of Kluwut Village, and the head of Religious Affairs Office (KUA) of Bulakamba District. It is then complemented by secondary data sources derived from books and papers relevant to the subject matter, specifically concerning marriage, marriage registration, and the role of Lebe as a facilitator of marriage registration, as well as implementing regulations and other library materials. The theory used by the author in this research is structural functionalism by Emile Durkheim.\r\nThe author found that Lebe holds an informal status as a community figure trusted to have an understanding of fiqh munakahat and marriage registration procedures. As a facilitator of marriage registration, Lebe has two main functions or roles: the manifest function and the latent function. Lebe not only fulfills administrative requirements in the marriage registration process, but also contributes to social integration and order within the community.
