"This research focuses on analyzing logotherapy as a process of searching\r\nfor th e meaning of life by the characters Dara from Dua Garis Biru Two Blue\r\nLines (2019) and Natalie from Look Both Ways (2022) after experiencing tragedy\r\nin the form of out of wedlock pregnancy . The tragedy experienced by Dara and\r\nNatalie impacts their lives, especially in the process of finding the meaning of life.\r\nThis research uses logotherapy theory by Viktor E. Frankl and film theory by Amy\r\nVillarejo. The data used are documentation from sc enes in Dua Garis Biru Two\r\nBlue Lines (2019) and Look Both Ways (2022) that show the process of Dara and\r\nNatalie to find the meaning of their lives. Then, the data is analyzed using three\r\nbasic concepts of logotherapy namely freedom of will, will to meaning, and the\r\nmeaning of life. The results of this study show that in the process of finding the\r\nmeaning of life carried out by Dara, she took an action that was not based on a\r\nsense of responsibility. It is inappropriat e with Viktor E. Frankl’s statement ; it\r\naffects Dara's process of finding the meaning of life. The ending of Dua Garis\r\nBiru Two Blue Lines ] (2019) shows that Dara's story is not a happy ending. It\r\nmeans that Dara has not managed to find meaning in her lif e. Meanwhile, Natalie ,\r\nwho has undergone the process of searching for the meaning of life by Viktor E.\r\nFrankl’s statement, can find happiness at the end of her story.
