This situation can create a challenging and high-pressure work environment for caregivers. Therefore, the researcher is interested in examining how caregivers manage stress and its implications for their performance. This study employs a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and documentation. The research subjects consist of three caregivers as the main informants, along with the foundation's head, secretary, and one child from the foundation as triangulation informants. Data analysis follows three stages: data codification, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the three caregivers employ stress management strategies, which include identifying stress symptoms, analyzing stress symptoms, avoiding stress, and coping with stress. In the process of identifying stress symptoms, caregivers rely on their experiences as a source of information. The analysis of stress symptoms is related to self-reflection or self-awareness and discussions with others. To avoid stress, caregivers adopt different methods, such as maintaining health, time management, physical activities, emotional regulation, and spiritual approaches. In the stress coping stage, all three caregivers apply both problem-focused coping and emotion-focused coping strategies. Overall, the study reveals that the stress management strategies implemented by caregivers have a positive impact on their performance at Hamba Foundation, in terms of quality, quantity, timeliness, effectiveness, and work independence %Z Muhammad Izzul Haq, S.Sos, M.Sc.
