"In the digital era, the boundaries between the real and virtual worlds are\r\nbecoming increasingly blurred, encouraging individuals to stay connected\r\nthrough social media. However, this urge does not always lead to positive\r\ninteractions at times, it manifests as cyberstalking behavior. This phenomenon\r\nis suspected to be associated with Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) and dark triad\r\npersonality traits, two psychological factors that can trigger an obsessive drive\r\nto monitor other online activities. This study aims to examine the relationship\r\nbetween FoMO and dark triad personality traits with cyberstalking among\r\nInstagram users. Emerging adults were selected as participants, considering\r\nthat this age group is in a developmental phase characterized by vulnerability\r\nto social pressure and identity exploration in the digital world. This research\r\nemploys a correlational quantitative method. The respondents consist of 424\r\nInstagram users from Java Island, selected through quota sampling. The\r\ninstruments used in this study include the Cyberstalking Scale, an adopted\r\nversion of the Short Dark Triad (SD3), and adapted version of the Online\r\nFoMO Scale. The collected data were analyzed using multiple linear regression\r\ntests and comparative analysis. The findings indicate a significant correlation\r\nbetween FoMO and dark triad personality traits with cyberstalking among\r\nemerging adult users. Additionally, a partial correlation was found between\r\nFoMO and cyberstalking, with regression coefficients of 0.301 and 0.272,\r\nrespectively. The combined effective contribution of both independent\r\nvariables to cyberstalking was 44.6% with FoMO contributing 24.8% and dark\r\ntriad personality traits contributing 19.8%. No significant gender differences\r\nwere found in cyberstalking levels. These results suggest that FoMO and dark\r\ntriad personality traits can serve as predictors cyberstalking. The practical\r\nimplication of this study highlights the importance of raising awareness among\r\nInstagram users, particularly emerging adults, to manage their FoMO and dark\r\ntriad personality tendencies to prevent enganging in cyberstalking behavior."^^ .
